The State of Nebraska (nicknamed `The Cornhusker State’) is in the Midwest region of the USA, bordered by South Dakota to the north, Iowa and Missouri to the east, Kansas to the south, Colorado to the south-west and Wyoming to the west. The land in Nebraska slopes down from table-land in the west at the edge of the Rocky Mountains to prairie in the central region, part of the Great Plains. The alluvial lowlands of the Missouri valley are found in the east. The north-central area is a region of grass-covered sand-dunes and small lakes.
