Idaho is one of the fifty states of the United States, located in the northwest of the country. According to estimates by the Census Bureau of the United States, Idaho in 2006 had a population of 1,466,465 inhabitants. The postal abbreviation is "ID", and nicknamed Gem State refers to the abundance of resources in its natural territory. The state motto is the Latin phrase perpetuating, which translated into Spanish would be "Let it be perpetual."
State of Idaho limits west to Washington and Oregon, south to Nevada and Utah, east to Montana and Wyoming, and north to the Canadian province of British Columbia (BC-Idaho border is 77 km long). The landscape is covered by one of the best preserved natural regions of the country, amid the Rocky Mountains and with massive natural sources. The state is also high and snowy mountain ranges, waterfalls and many waterfalls, lakes, gentle and deep, steep canyons.
