Fujairah is one of seven emirates that constitute United Arab Emirates, and only in the Gulf of Oman to the east instead of the Persian Gulf (the other six emirates). The Emirate of Fujairah covers 1150 km2 (440 square miles) or about 1.5% of land in the United Arab Emirates, is the fifth largest emirate of the United Arab Emirates. Its population is approximately 130,000. Just the Emirate of Umm Al-Quwwain has fewer occupants.
