Sing Buri is one of the centered provinces of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are (from northern clockwise) Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, Ang Thong, Suphan Buri and Chai Nat. The phrase Sing stems from the Sanskrit phrase Singh significance lion, and the phrase buri from Sanskrit Puri significance town or city.
