Sa Kaeo is a province of Thailand located in the east of the country. The province shares border with the provinces of Chantaburi, Chachoengsao, Prachin Buri, Nakhon Ratchasima and Buri Ram. Bordered on the east border of the Cambodian province of Battambang and Banteay Mean Chey. The northern area of Sa Kaeo is fully covered with high altitude trees and mountains. Sa Kaeo has nine districts, more than fifty five sub-districts and over 600 villages.
Sa Kaeo is the name of a northwestern province of Thailand. The north of the province is covered with forested mountains of Dong Phayayen. To the south are the most flat, mostly cleared. In the Cardamom mountains are two national parks bordering Cambodia distinguished by their tropical forests: the Pang Sida and Ta Phraya. Sa Kaeo became province 1993.
