Prachuap Khiri Khan is a Thai province located about 278 kilometers away from the southern side of Bangkok. Its history dates from the Ayutthaya period. The original name of the province was Nangrom or Na Muang rang. Later in the second a new city was established at the mouth of Khlong Yo-ROM and the name was changed to Prachuap Khiri Khan during the reign of King Rama IV in the year 1845. Prachuap Khiri Khan is now divided into seven provinces named as Amphoe Muang, Kui Buri, Sapho, Thap Sakae, Hua Hin, Pran Buri and Saphir Noi.

Prachuap Khiri Khan is a province in central Thailand and its neighboring provinces of Phetchaburi and Chumphon. Also borders Myanmar to the west. The lugareos often refer to the province as just Prachup and is a major destination turstico because vrgenes beaches, islands, forests and steep green mountains. Prachuap Khiri Khan is one of the central provinces from Thailand. Phetchaburi provinces are in the north and south in Chumphon. West bordering Tanintharyi division of Myanmar.
