Phitsanulok is one of the provinces of Thailand, located in the North of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are Loei, Phetchabun, Phichit, Kamphaeng Phet, Sukhothai, and Uttaradit. On the north-eastern side it also has a little border with Xaignabouli of Laos. Most of Phitsanulok province has very hot climate but at the same time rainfall is very high in summer. In winter the province gets one of the coolest places in Thailand and the temperature goes even below the freezing point. With reference to rainfall the winter season remains dry with less rainfall.

Phitsanulok is one of the most famous provinces of Thailand. Phitsanulok past governors before Mr. Siphatthanawat include Phiphat Wongsarotand Wichar Chaiyanan to him. The province is sub-divided into nine main districts. These are subdivided into 93 municipalities and 993 muban, which are administrative divisions at the village level. (There are more effective than muban villages in the province, because the larger towns often occupy more than one muban.)
