Krabi is one of the southern provinces in Thailand, on the shores of the Andaman Sea. Neighboring provinces (from north clockwise) Phang Nga, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Trang. In the province of Phuket to the west is also nearby, but without any land boundary. The capital region is the city of Krabi. In the province of coal mines, Fossil shell beach, towering mountains, beautiful streams, abundance of islands, palm plantations, sandy beaches, wonderful sea world, Emerald of the Andaman Islands and the heavenly Phi Phi.

The province of Krabi is situated on the coast in the Andaman Sea and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Most notable are the solitary limestone hills, both on land and at sea as the island. Rock climbers from all over the world to visit Railay Beach Beach grow. These beaches are part of Krabi Phra Nang peninsula. Of about 154 islands belonging to the province, Ko Phi Phi Leh is perhaps best known as a lot of the movie The Beach. On the coast of the province severely affected by the tsunami of 26 December 2004.
