Ang Thong is one of the central provinces of Thailand. The name Ang Thong means a golden bowl, which depicts Angthong as central to prosperusness as it has a lot of rice fields. It has a huge Buddha statue lying, brave heroes, the court Dolls, famous basketry, cylinder solutions to the region, the double inclination of the Buddha, etc. The neighboring provinces of Ang Thong include (if arranged clockwise from North), SingBuri, Lop-buri, Ayutthaya and Suphanburi.
Ang Thong being renowned province of Thailand is famous for luxurious home hand-made, molded court dolls, firebrick, and wickerwork. In Ang Thong, there are over 200 magnificent temples, and is suitable for the Thai chronological study. Ang Thong is a small river flat, went to the Chao Phraya and Noi rivers. It has no mountains, no forests, but are mostly agricultural land. These two rivers, together with a large number of channels (khlongs) provide enough water for rice farming.
