Province of New Zealand, Nelson is located at the northwestern edge of the South Island. The mountains, although separated by fault scarps (Tasman Mountains and Douglas), are covered by beautiful forests of Podocarpus and are virtually deserted, as the coast of north-west battered by ocean storms, the bituminous coal extracted from small deposits, is embedded to Westport Island Nord.Au bottom of the Tasman Bay to the north lie the Tasman Bay Lowlands, this plain is located at the site of a gap tectonic filled with recent sediments, gravel or coarse alluvial fines.
Nelson is one of the provinces of New Zealand. The plain fact is sheltered from the westerly winds, the climate is mild and sunny and small farms growing a variety of plants (tomatoes, tobacco, vegetables, vineyards) and have a beautiful apple orchards. Some farms are dedicated to the breeding of dairy cows, but the main dairy area of the province is located on the coastline that borders the Golden Bay, west of the Tasman Bay
