Marlborough is the city situated in the south of New Zealand and is famous in the world for its grape farms and production of wine. The region offers a strong contrast between the climate warm and sunny and the nights rather cold. These conditions slow the maturation of the grapes, allowing winemakers to express their unique aromas and flavors. Marlborough also produces tobacco, maze and other crops. The northern side of the city is covered with high altitude mountains including the great Alps.
