Qom is the famous province of Iran, with 11,237 km², cap 0.89% of the gross neighborhood within Iran. It is located within the northern portion of the homeland, and its capital is Qom city. It was formed from portion of Tehran province within 1995. In 2005, this province had a settlement of roughly 2,000,000 out of which 91.2 % resided within built-up localities and 8.8 % within nation vicinities. The province has one town famous as Qom town, 4 shires and nine districts.

Qom is the province of Iran. The climate of Qom province differs between a wasteland and semi-desert climate, and comprises mountainous localities, foothills and plains. Towards being established nearby an arid district and far inland, it have a dry climate, with decimated humidity and scanty rainfall. Thus, agriculture is not necessarily within most of its localities, notably nearby the salty lagoon regions. Qom province has two wide salty lagoons, namely: Howz e Soltan Lake, which is located 36 km due northern of Qom and Namak Lake, which is located 80 km due east of Qom.
