East Azarbaijan or East Azerbaijan is one of the thirty provinces of Iran. It is within the northwest of the country, bordering Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the provinces of Ardabil, West Azarbaijan, and Zanjan. Its commerce is Tabriz. The greatest peak of East Azarbaijan is Sahand Mountain at 3,722 m of height, lying southern of Tabriz, whereas the many unwell lying areas are as lengthy as Garmadooz (Ahar).
