Churchill, in northern Manitoba, is the Antarctic bear capital of the world. Manitoba is situated in the longitudinal axis of Canada, although it is considered part of the western region.
Manitoba is province of Canada. Manitoba is alienated into four distinct geographic district: the Lake Agassiz Lowland, the Western Upland, the Precambrian Upland and the Hudson Bay Lowland. The Lake Agassiz Lowland, in the mid southern region of Manitoba, encloses the province’s three largest lakes: Winnipeg, Winnipegosis and Manitoba. The fur trade, Manitoba's oldest industry, continues to contribute to the provincial economy, although it is no longer a major source of income.
