Bahrain is an archipelago in the southern Persian Gulf between the Qatar peninsula and the coast of Saudi Arabia. It is a small oil producing country with a population of around half a million. Is connected to Saudi Arabia for 16-mile long path. Bahrain climate can be described as the cold winters with little rainfall and hot summers with high humidity. The winter season is December to February, and the disruption of occasional periods of rain. January is the coldest month and the prevailing winds are north-west.
The islands south of Bahrain is composed of calcareous sand and salt, which is particularly visible on the south side of the main island, an area with the desert and oil fields. Historical records indicate that the islands were once abundant in vegetation and the old myths have been connected with them, including the Garden of Eden. On the main island, a vast desert plain rising slightly low central escarpment, with the highest point is Jabal al-Dukhan to 122 meters.
