What is College?

In comparison to universities, the institution of college is generally said to be an integral part of university education as at colleges one is not awarded degrees due to the powers of doing so specifically held by universities. Therefore degrees are always said to be awarded by universities while colleges are those institutions and organizations that plays a vital part on comprehensively preparing a student for the degree that awaits on the university level. Colleges are self-governing institutions responsible for grooming students to be seated as external candidates at other universities or have authority to run courses leading to the degrees of the respective universities.
